Whitney Keyes is the Director of Whitney Keyes Productions, a marketing and communications company. Whitney started her career managing her family's retail store in Tacoma. She then took a position with the City of Tacoma's Economic Development Department, helping to revitalize and promote the city's neighborhood business districts. Prior to starting her own consulting firm 5 years ago, Whitney worked as a senior PR and marketing manager for Microsoft.
Today, Whitney lectures, writes and speaks about marketing communications, with an emphasis on social media and entrepreneurism. Her work has been highlighted in The Huffington Post, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, The News Tribune, and business journals including Utah CEO Magazine and the Puget Sound Business Journal. Whitney writes weekly for The Biz Bite Blog on the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's business website and has co-produced and hosted a series of radio podcasts and online video shows. She's a member of the Society of Professional Journalists and received two awards from the International TV Association for her writing and video production work. She's also the author of her self-published book, Media Tips for Small Business.
