Brenda Riley has worked with Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) in the Master Licensing Service (MLS) area for over 13 years. Her job focuses on informing potential business owners about the different state, local and federal licenses they may need, and assisting them in the state licensing process. In addition, she represents MLS by being a member and presenter at the Renton Small Business Fair. She enjoys the public contact and helping people with their business needs.

The Master License Service provides a one-stop customer service center so the public can quickly and efficiently obtain business licenses required by laws.
We accomplish this by focusing on customer needs:
- educate the public about licensing requirements
- work with partner agencies to enhance understanding of requirements
- provide business account information to the public and partner agencies
- streamline and improve the process of establishing, renewing and maintaining business accounts.
