Sharon Sappington is a Certified Global Business Professional and International Trade Specialist at the Washington Small Business Development Center (WSBDC) Export Center at Washington State University. With a background as a multi-disciplined manager, business consultant, advisor and strategist spanning many functional areas, industries, and world areas, she blends her diverse “hard side of business” experience with the multi-cultural realities of doing business in the U.S. and abroad. Her international experience includes: Latin America, Asia, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Western Europe, USA, and Canada (including seven years living abroad). Today, Sharon helps clients assess their export readiness, determine international markets, identify export compliance requirements, formulate market entry strategy, look at logistics options, consider various methods of payment, as well as give guidance on how to build company’s ability to grow their capacity to export and spot issues as to avoid mistakes. Sharon will lead the “How to Find New Customers Outside the U.S. (Canada Counts!)” seminar.
